You might be shocked to learn that Google has filed a patent in the US two years ago for a smart “wearable” lens that doesn’t go on your eye but inside it.
Yes, that’s right. If the project ever sees the light of day, it means that with a medical intervention, a smart lens will be inserted in your eye… It’s not very clear what would be possible with this device, but we’re sure it will be more than the functions of the controversial Google Glass.
What we know, though, is that this device will package an electronic lens, sensor, receiver, storage system, and power supply all into one injectable machine.
